Stem cells in soccer player
I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I have played with many different club teams and in different leagues and I hoped to play in college or professionally in the future. However, in December 2012, I was told that I had Avascular Necrosis of the navicular bone. I’m not sure how it happened but I went to 5 different doctors to treat my ankle. The first four doctors had put me in a boot for some time.
In March 2013, I attempted to play again but my ankle was in pain again so I stopped. My father found Dr. Lox online. When we went for our appointment Dr. Lox explained what I had and told us how it could be treated. I had to get two injections in April 2013. One shot it called “stem cell” and the other one is called “pop”. I had to wait two months until it could heal 100%. In June I got an MRI done and returned to discuss my results. My ankle healed about 75%. I had to get one more pro shot and wait a little while longer. I am going to get my next MRI next week and hope that I get my good news and I can go back to playing soccer again.
