Rheumatoid Knee Arthritis Responds To Stem Cell Therapy
A patient with chronic knee pain suffering from rheumatoid and osteoarthritis consulted with Dennis M. Lox, MD, about the possibility of having stem cell therapy for knee pain. Despite having multiple joint involvement, after consulting Dr. Lox it was agreed that the her knees were the most reasonable and likely to respond to stem cell treatment. One month later, she is doing much better.
She no longer uses a cane and can walk greater distances without pain. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease and the option to try regenerative medicine therapies such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy are appealing to patients in chronic pain or who wish to avoid surgery.
