Dr. Dennis Lox’s Followup With Marathon Runner With Knee Stem Cells Doing Great
Two months after bilateral knee stem cells for a 50 year old marathoner is significant.
Especially when he is doing excellent. He has behaved and followed Dr. Lox’s Rehab Protocol implicitly. He is biking 60 miles a day with no pain. Prior to the procedure he was having such significant pain he had to stop running. Running is still limited for a few months. But, he is ecstatic over his progress. He is an out of state patient, as many of Dr. Lox’s are, but it just means more rigorous followup and fine tuning. Knee osteoarthritis after 50 does not mean an end to sports. Dr. Lox has seen many older athletes return to successful sports after stem cell therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).
Regenerative Medicine is an emerging field that promising to alter the playing field for not just young athletes, but the older one with wear and tear arthritis especial of the Knees and hips. Continuing to be active, and enjoying life and sports is a beautiful thing.
