A wrestler from New Jersey Flies to treat with Dr. Lox for Hip AVN Stem Cells and his family was concerned after hearing his diagnosis of avascular necrosis (AVN) of the hip. He was told to become non-weight bearing, given crutches, and told his prognosis was uncertain. He was told to refrain from sports and told ultimately hip joint replacement was possible.
Not understandably, the patient and his family were troubled and began looking for other options. After discussions with numerous physicians, the family decided to treat with Dennis M. Lox, MD,, a Sports and Regenerative Medicine expert who has treated numerous athletes with avascular necrosis.
After given the patient and family proper counseling following initial consultation, they elected to proceed with stem cell treatments for his hip AVN.
After the procedure was finished the patient proclaimed, “it was no big deal”.
The patient was given follow up recommendations and was monitored closely by telephone, after returning to his home state. The patient will be monitored for various signs of improvement and future MRI and x-rays will be done as needed. The patient who had been crutch walking for months is now walking without pain and his crutches.
