Knee Trauma with Extreme Sports and Football
Not surprisingly, Dennis M. Lox M.D. has seen many retired professional athletes and football players. Both defensive and offensive lineman are typically bigger, stronger and get hurt often. The trench warfare of a lineman has many injuries. Dr. Lox recently treated an offensive lineup drafted behind the Rams great and future Hall of Farmer Jackie Slater. That is a problem. You can’t start if an all-time great is ahead of you, despite being 6’6” 350 pounds. Another defensive end was a former Tampa Bay Buc in the 1980s. Another big warrior, but the NFL has a way of injuring in the biggest players.
Dr. Lox International Renown Expert and Lecturer
Dr. Lox was in charge of speaker selection and Moderator of A cartilage repair expert at a Sports Medicine, Regenerative Medicine & Stem Cell Symposium in Aspen, Colorado. Prestigious speakers gladly accepted the invitation and a chance to ski Aspen in winter. Dr. Lox invited Tennis great Rafael Nadal’s Orthopedic surgeon and a world-renown cartilage repair expert at a prestigious university. At dinner, the university professor stated he recently lectured to a group of NFL doctors to speak and learn from these perfect specimens to enhance our understanding of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Lox commented the problem is uncontrollable trauma. It is not normal for 300-pound football players to jump on other 300-pound football players. Years later the knees, of football players, are a frequent issue with degenerative arthritis.
Trauma Accelerated Knee Arthritis, and Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells
Many have turned successfully to Regenerative Medicine expert Dennis M. Lox M.D., for knee stem cell therapy, as well as many joint Regenerative Medicine treatments. No problem is too small if the patient’s lifestyle is affected. After their playing days are over most professional athletes, as well as everyone else wishes to age gracefully without pain and debility. Quality of life is important. Retired great NFL Quarterback Joe Namath is a prime example of many knee surgeries. Joe Namath’s first knee surgery was in college at Alabama under the legendary coach Bear Bryant. He prophetically proclaimed the Jets would win Super Bowl III and became a legend. However several more knee surgeries ended his career early. As an expert in their area, Dr. Lox uses this case as a teaching tool. One could predict his outcome of early-onset severe knee arthritis, and it happened. Namath had both knees replaced.
