Dr. Dennis Lox Featured on TV News
Clearwater, FL – When Tampa Bay resident Judy Loar could not bear to walk in pain any longer as the result of degenerative joint disease, she sought the treatment of Clearwater sports medicine doctor Dennis Lox. WFLA News Channel 8’s Gail Guyardo was there to capture some of the action as Judy described her road to recovery. Since the piece originally aired on January 16th, 2014, the story has since been featured on TV news programs and websites across the U.S.
From Maine to Arizona and throughout the U.S., TV news stations have published Judy’s story of recovery, and as a result hundreds of thousands of Americans are now better-informed about this type of regenerative medicine and its place in medicine as an alternative to invasive surgery.
Tampa Bay resident Judy Loar
“Judy Loar’s story is a medical story that many Americans can relate to,” said Dr. Lox. “Her desire to end her pain without another invasive surgery led Judy to find an alternative – like the stem cell therapy she ultimately received. It’s a viable alternative treatment for many Americans who are searching for a way to treat the pain of arthritis and other painful conditions.”
The unique way in which regenerative therapies, such as stem cells, effect injured tissues in the body makes them an attractive treatment option for many degenerative diseases and injuries that are common among Americans. The news episode gave details of the regeneration of Loar’s knee cartilage which led to her diminished pain and her increased mobility. In the spot, Loar refers to her progress as a “…miracle.”
“Many people have heard horror stories about knee and back surgeries like Judy’s and are seeking alternatives that will provide relief from their pain without the invasiveness and common side effects that surgery can cause,” said Lox. “Stem cells and other regenerative therapies have been shown to alleviate inflammation, heal chronic injuries and regenerate injured tissues in the body, including cartilage.”
