A 305-Pound Man Loses 100 Pounds and Decreases Knee Pain after Stem Cells with Dr. Lox

305 lb. Man Loses 100 lbs., and Knee Pain after Stem Cells with Dr. Lox

A previously athletic man with knee pain and arthritis flew from another state, to treat his arthritic knees with Stem Cell therapy with Dennis M. Lox, MD.

History with Knee Pain

His youth was spent actively engaging in sports and life. Knee pain, debility, and arthritis (osteoarthritis) slowed him down. His former 205-pound frame had swelled to 305 pounds and he was not happy with his lifestyle or knee pain. Knee osteoarthritis commonly referred to as knee arthritis, is a very common condition in patients over 60. It may occur much earlier in life, especially following knee joint trauma, surgery, and weight gain or obesity. Stem cells may be an option for knee pain and osteoarthritis.

Stem Cell Therapy and Knee Pain

Dr. Lox specializes in Sports and Regenerative Medicine and is an expert in knee stem cell treatments. This patient decided to undergo knee stem cell injections with Dr. Lox. He flew to see Dr. Lox, and after a thorough evaluation, a specific treatment plan was implemented.

He did well after his knee stem cell injections. Dr. Lox prescribed a specific program for his unique needs, and a year later he returned to see Dr. Lox. Not only had his knee pain nearly completely resolved, but he had also shed 100 pounds. He previously had noted his knee pain was a 10 on a scale of 0-10, with 10 being the worst possible. Now he reported his knee pain was intermittent and at most a 1 on his worst days. He had resumed activities he had given up, his quality of life was significantly improved and he noted his treatment was “unbelievable”. 1-year repeat x-Rays revealed improvement in his knee arthritis. His overall health was also improved. Though not every patient can expect this outcome with knee stem cell injections, Dr. Lox stresses the need for individual evaluation and specific treatment for each particular patient, because each patient is a unique individual. There is no one stop for all, cookie-cutter approach to this or any specialized medical specialty. Dr. Lox is available for individual consultation.
