Manning and Peterson Made the Pro Bowl After Sensational Injury Comebacks
Tampa, Saint Petersburg and Clearwater, Fl
Professional football players, Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson have made the NFL Pro Bowl, following significant injuries last year where each underwent major surgery.
Manning was out the entire 2011 season, with neck and back injuries that required several surgeries, as well as Stem Cell Therapy.
Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings, injured his left knee December 2011and underwent major surgery. Peterson and Manning have had outstanding years in 2012, earning both Pro Bowl births. Peterson has obtained career high rushing yards, while rebounding from an injury that often leaves running backs questionable. Manning starting as quarterback for Denver, not only assumed the control position for a new team but is had a stellar year at age 36.
Significant injuries have seen regenerative medicine techniques such as Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell therapies incorporated into the treatment of professional athletes. Knee injuries are common, and both PRP and Stem Cell Therapy have been utilized after surgery and as an alternative to surgery.
