I Feel So Good, I Forgot My Cane

A very interesting thing happened today. A woman who received stem cell therapy to both knees for severe osteoarthritis two months ago returned for followup. Her initial appointment showed marked difficulty walking (antalgic gait), knee swelling, difficulty going from sitting to standing. 2 months later she had no pain, no swelling, walked freely without her cane.

The patient, her son, and I were quite pleased with her progress. Upon leaving she came back in through the front office door to the reception area, and commented I feel so good I forgot my cane. She then retrieved her cane, smiled and left.
