Dr. Lox has treated many different types of athletes with stem cells. Including martial artists. In one week he saw a Wushu (an early version of Bruce Lee’s style before Jeet Kung Do) martial artist, a multi-disciplined martial artist now specializing in Kung Fu, and an Aikido Black belt (Steven Segal’s Discipline).

Martial Art Injuries

The Wushu artist was not your typical martial artist seeking stem cells for an injury. He was a true old school master and 80 years old. He reminded Dr. Lox of one of the old masters from the television series Kung Fu with David Carradine. His knee was now bothering him from degenerative arthritis. Not atypical for an 80-year-old, or someone who has partaken in physical sports for decades.

Of special interest was his knee examination. His shins were scarred almost appearing as though he had previous surgery. He had not. It turned out rather than kick trees, as Jean Claude Van Damme did in his movie Kickboxer, training in Thailand for a Maui Tai tournament. This patient hit himself for decades with sticks to toughen his shins. One look at his hands showed another telltale sign Dr. Lox has seen often, his knuckles were enlarged and calloused. Indicative of board breaking and other hand striking over a long duration. This patient was a delight in knowledge and as a physically well-conditioned athlete irrespective of age.

He had done his research on Dr. Lox and had found that Dr. Lox was highly recommended by some people he knew for stem cell treatments. He opted to undergo knee stem cell therapy with Dr. Lox. He said afterward it was simple and he felt great.
