My Neck Hurts are Stem Cells an option

Tampa, Saint Petersburg and Clearwater, FL
I get this question a lot. It depends on what is wrong. If I am contacted overseas or cross country, I try and pinpoint a diagnosis. This is not always the case as there is no substitute for a thorough medical examination. I have a patient in New York City, a model and fashion designer with extreme neck and arm pain. Sitting increases her pain. She also has a classic shoulder abduction relief sign by history, which I then decided it was time for no more chiropractic manipulation (which worsened her symptoms). I decided a new MRI was prudent, and she is flying in from New York to see me with the results. If Regenerative Medicine is appropriate, therapies such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell Therapy may be a viable option. Stem Cells have a place in treatment for select disorders, yet it is not a phone in order in most cases.
An acute knee sprain/ meniscal tear is a no brainier. Fix it fast with stem cells so degeneration occurs long term. Other conditions I get called on internationally such as avascular necrosis (AVN) is very specific. Doctors from around the world have contacted me on treating avascular necrosis (AVN). It is an honor and a privilege to assist. AVN is a condition in which blood supply to the bone is disrupted and the segment of bone supplied by the avascular region, dies or becomes necrotic (hence avascular necrosis). If treated properly early long term sequelae such as total hip, knee, shoulder, ankle replacement may be avoided. Dennis M. Lox, MD, has treated athletes with neck, Low back pain, and AVN.
Dr. Lox has successfully returned athletes to their sport with neck, back pain, and avascular necrosis (AVN). It is always easier to return a patient to non-sport specific goals. An elderly patient who only wants to play golf is much simpler. They can still use a golf cart. It is merely a matter of identifying their functional needs, and designing a program around their needs and goals. If Regenerative Medicine techniques, such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell Therapy may assist in this goal, Dr. Lox is willing to discuss these cutting edge state of the art treatments with select patients worldwide.
